Free-PEMF and multiZAP devices support sets of coils that allow the use of electromagnetic field therapy of low intensity, similar to the one found on Earth.
Additionally, multiZAP allows the use of the mat in case of complex bio-resonance therapies. In this case, no reduction resistor is used, and field strength might be slightly stronger.
To make a mat we will need the following materials:
- Copper winding wire in enamels - see table
- Winding pad with a radius of r = 8cm (a description of how to build it has been included in the instructions of the coils)
- copper wire, single-stranded, insulated 0.5mm2 (about 4 RMT)
- Two-core cable, cable, 2x 0.75mm2 (about 1.5 RMT)
- Exercise mats 160cm long or longer (2 items)
- Spray adhesive
- A cable / twine for wrapping coils
- Soldering irons
- Self-adhesive duct tape
- 5 pin microphone connector (see coil building)
- Reducing resistor with 15-35 ohms / 2W (optional)
- 5-pin microphone plug and a 5-pin socket for the cable to the reduction resistor (optional)

The mat should have an impedance from 12 to 50 ohms. For mats with an impedance of less than 50 ohms, use a reducing resistor - Rred connected in series with the mat.
First, wind up 8 coils, according to the number of coils chosen, depending on the wire cross-section and the resistor used.
Please note: actual values of magnetic induction are about 30% lower than theoretical ones.
Winding the coil
Start with winding of the number of coils specified for chosen coil type. In the case of wire with a cross-section below 0.3, winding is difficult due to the low strength of the wire. Therefore, special care should be taken when stripping the terminals and adding them to a single-stranded wire. We use the pad with radius r = 8 cm. All types of coils are wound up the same way. The only difference is the power cord. For coils under the head and neck, we use two single-core cables 60 cm long, and in the remaining 30 cm. This is due to the need to make appropriate connections between the heads in the area of the head. After winding the coils, powering the supply wires and plugging them on, we mark the number of coils, so as not to confuse the coils when mounting them on the mat.

Put the mat on the table and fix the ends with carpentry handles in the corners so that it does not curl. Determine on which side of the mat head and legs will be located. Mark the head e.g. by cutting the corner or the appropriate sticker on the edge of the mat. Then place the coils on the mat according to the attached drawing. Coils with the least number of coils at the height of the head and neck, and the largest under the legs. Make sure that the direction of current flow is identical in all coils. Follow red arrows in the coil connection diagram. Choose any power cord and move it as if one-way current flows in it. It is paramount that movement through the coil should take place in the same direction, i.e. clockwise or anticlockwise. This is very important because the magnetic field generated by the mat should be properly formed.
The next step is sticking the coils and connecting them together. Cut the cables to the appropriate length, turn and solder on. Heat shrink sleeves can be add on at this point, but it is optional, because mat itself insulates well. Remember about the power cable connected between the coils on the leg and the body.
Then attach the second mat and assemble it with joinery clamps. Pivot about half the mats and spray glue on both sides and wait to dry. After gluing the first half, do the same with the other half.
Press the mat with heavy items e.g. books and leave them for a few hours. Then solider the plug to the cable end. Plug soldering description can be found in the article describing the assembly of coils.

25om reduction resistor for the mat. Two 0,75mm2 wires connected to terminals: 2-2 i 4-4. One, two or three resistor was connected in series with wires.
